    Cristiano Ronaldo has scored his 42nd career hat-trick after Portugal wallop Andorra 6-0 in the World Cup Qualifiers (Video available)

    Ronaldo scored twice with a short header in the opening four minutes to put the Euro 2016 champions in control before firing two with his foot to make it four he scored.

    Portugal is in Group B and are occupying the third spot while Switzerland, who beat Hungary 3-2 on Friday are occupying the first spot.

    Since injuring his knee in the Euro 2016 finals which Portugal eventually won by a goal to nil against host nation France, the game against Andorra was his first game for Portugal.

    After the game Ronaldo said: "We knew that the first goal would be really important against a team which puts 11 players behind the ball".

    "I know I am important, as are all the other players. I have always given everything for the national team, I feel useful and I'm happy to be back after that injury in the European championship. There are eight games to go and we want to win all eight to go to the World Cup."
