A plastic surgeon, Dai Nguyen has revealed that some e-cigarette smokers got burnt after the cigarette exploded in their mouth like gunshot wound leading to face wound as well.Some victims of the device
He also suggest a tougher regulation on the e-cigarette and better guidance for consumers and warning that it could lead to severe death of consumers due to constant wounds the popular device is inflating on the users.
After number of victims of the device increased drastically in a hospital due to the device exploding in their trouser pocket even while not using it, The doctor had to give a strong warning to the members of the public that it might lead to death.
In one case, a 25-year-old was paintballing when their device exploded, while in another, a factory worker suffered thigh and groin injuries, and burnt his hand when he tried to extinguish the flames.
Ms Nguyen said: "Before this year we hadn’t seen any injuries like this. Now we have had five which reflects the rising popularity of these e-cigarettes.
"I am aware of other cases which have required surgery and skin grafts.
"There have also been reports of e-cigarettes exploding in people’s mouths which resulted in catastrophic injuries similar to those you would experience if you were shot in the face by a gun.”

She added: "I think we are only seeing the tip of the iceberg. I suspect a lot of A and E departments may also be dealing with these incidents and we’re just not aware of them."
All the patients Ms Nguyen had attended to has since gotten well and no one has lost their lives but she warned there was "a very real" risk to people and property, adding: "If there’s a house fire people could die."

Advice a Swansea Council trading standards officer David Picken gave was that: "customers should not be tempted by cheap imports and to always take care when buying.
He also added: "These chargers have not been constructed to the correct safety standards and are often counterfeit.
"Take additional care when buying online.
"Consider carefully if the cheapest is the best, particularly when the goods are coming directly to you from a business outside of the UK and EU.”
