Chalotte Guttenberg
Charlotte Guttenberg, 67, from Melbourne, Florida, first got inked 10 years ago, in 2006.
She had the tattoo done for her birthday following the death of her husband, who wasn’t a fan of body inkings.
But while she had her first ever inking, she met Chuck Helmke, a regular of the tattoo parlour.
Romance soon bloomed and the pair became a couple.
Now the pair are an award winning couple as they have been named the most tattooed senior citizens in the Guinness World Record 2017.
She now has 91 per cent of her body covered in her colourful designs, with just her face, neck and fingers tattoo-free.
But despite being covered from head to toe in tatts, she plans to have more done.
Her next piece of art will be on her head and will be designed by Bully Haydock at tattoo parlour Alternative Connections in Florida.
The couple
She says she attracts a lot of attention for her skin but she says she doesn’t mind the reactions she gets from strangers.
Partner Chuck too has a huge collection, with over 93.5 per cent of his body covered in ink.
Chuck, 75, is a retired martial arts expert and once served in the army.
Nearly all his tattoos were done in the last 16 years aside from a military tattoo in 1959.
But it would be another 40 years until he would get another inking.
He didn’t have his next tattoo until 2000.
The pair, who compete at tattoo conventions, are in total 93.7 per cent inked.
They told Guinness World Records they were honoured by the accolade, saying it was “magical, amazing, and unbelievable”
