As report has it, the supersonic passenger jet is said to be the world's fastest civil aircraft, which is backed by Richard Branson.

The passenger jet is nicknamed the 'Baby Boom', the XB-1 Supersonic Demonstrator, the jet will embark on it first trip late next year, according to report.

The passenger's jet can travel from London to New York in just 3.5 hours at a speed of 1,451mph, makers of the jet says.

Branson said: "I have long been passionate about aerospace innovation and the development of high-speed commercial flights.

"As an innovator in the space, Virgin Galactic's decision to work with Boom was an easy one."

The Supersonic passenger's jet will have 45 passenger seats costing £4,000, and the plane can fly as higher as 60,000ft.
