Ondo state Governorship election was held on November 26th, 2016 has saw Akeredolu of the All Progressive Congress (APC) snatch victory against PDP and AD.

Responding to the victory, Akeredolu of the All Progressives Congress, APC, party candidate, thanked the people of Ondo state for voting him to lead the state, saying he is humbled by their decision in choosing him in the just concluded governorship election.

Rotimi Akeredolu thank the people of Ondo State through his twitter account after INEC announced the results collated so far from the 18 local government of the state which saw the APC candidate won fourteen (14) out of the already collated and announced results from the 18 local government areas.

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate, Eyitayo Jegede, won two (2) local government areas while the AD candidate, Olusola Oke won one (1).
