    Over 90 killed and about 1,500 military personnel arrested after coup to overthrow President Erdogan failed



    An attempted coup to overthrow president Erdogan by some military chiefs took place in Turkey last night the 15th of July, 2016.

    There was gunfire and military jets flying lower Turkish capital Ankara and Istanbul.

    A total of 90 people has been reported dead during clashes with more than 1,500 military personnel arrested by Turkish authorities.

    President Erdogan looks scared 

    But President Tayyip Erdogan now claims the attempted coup is over after he urged his supporters to take to the streets.
