Governor of Bayelsa State 'Seriake Dickson
Seriake Dickson urged the Federal Government to call for dialogue as that the right way to come into an agreement and resolve the tension in the region.
Since the attacks of oil pipelines in the region, there have been so much shortage of oil production in the country, which has led to the shortage of monetary losses also leading to output of oil production to 50% from it original %, these has cost the nation to loose billions of Naira.
According to Vanguard report, the governor made the statement when he was awarded a Doctorate Degree in Public Administration in Ekiti State University (EKSU)'s 21st Convocation ceremony base on his selfless qualities in leadership.
Dialogue is the solution to this recent violent in the region, said the governor, the Spokesperson of the Niger Delta Sea Commandos, Major Osama Blatter, (NDSC) in his words said “As members of the Sea Commandos, we cannot take Buhari’s plea serious as we are running out of patience. The issue is when he will start his dialogue”.
The Bayelsa Government made the call when his colleague, Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State hosted an event.
Seriake Dickson made it clear that waging war against the Niger Delta Militants will only increase the tension in the region and that it can make a lot of things go wrong.
