    Shocking as Ekiti state workers embark on a 3 day fasting and prayer

    The Ekiti State workers in conjunction with the labour has embark of a 3 weeks strike over the delay of five months salaries on unpaid by the government of Fayose led administration

    There was a pronouncement of a three day fasting and prayer by the union in order to facilitate the five months old un-payed salaries owned by the present government of that state led by governor Fayose.

    The declaration was made by the secretary of Nigeria Labour congress (NLC) Olayemi; in conjunction with Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) led by their secretary Mr J.A. Adebayo and Mr Oladele Ayodeji the joint negotiating council according to Vanguard.

    The NLC/TUC  states that; with the current situation surrounding the issue of salaries not being payed for over five months now in Ekiti state, that all workers are all invited to a three day fasting and prayer from Tuesday-Thursday the 16th of June with all the 16 Local government in the state being involved in the exercise.

    It has earlier be reported that the strike has be suspended due to the exhaustion of their effort in making the government of the state respond but organized Labour workers and the TUC chairman, Comrade Odunaya Adesoye denied the rumor that there is nothing as such.
