Poland players celebrating after the penalty kick that made the difference
Poland has qualified for the quarter final stage of the competition after edging out Switzerland with penalty kick after the game ended in 1-1 draw, Poland will now wait for the game between Croatia and Portugal to know who to meet.
Granit Xhaka Arsenal newly signed, missed the only penalty in the game that crashed Switzerland out of the tournament while Grzegorz Krychowiak converted Poland's last kick to send them through to the quarter finals.
Jakub Blaszczykowski put Poland ahead six minutes before half-time, while Switzerland hit man Xherdan Shaqiri equalized with fantastic scissors kick from 18 yards.
The match had to enter into penalty kick as it was only Xhaka the newly Arsenal signed that missed the spot kick and Polish Grzegorz sent Poland into quarter finals by fire home the winner from the spot in Saint Etienne.
