An American Airlines plane has been evacuated with an emergency slide at Heathrow Airport towards runway at Terminal 3.
Fire crew were seen in the scene as at the time of the incident which was Sunday morning but it appears no one was reported hurt
Seven ambulance and 10 fire engines and some police were at the scene of the incident, said an eye witness.
"I turned up and there was just people coming off the slide and being escorted from the runway.
"There was about seven ambulances, ten fire engines and loads of airport police.
"From what I heard there was smoke coming off the back engine of the plane and it set off smoke detectors which caused the emergency slide to be deployed," The eye witness added.

A passenger of the said plane named Ross Hiscock, 28, said he saw smoke coming out from tail of the plane.
Adding he said"I saw a lot of smoke come out from the tail-end of the aircraft. I wondered if it was normal, whether it was just exhaust fumes.
"Then the door opened on the right side of the aircraft and crews deployed slides from the rear and the middle of the plane.
"Next we wondered whether it was a drill, but then we saw they were real passengers. I saw at least one carrying a child.
"It all happened in a matter of seconds. Everyone seemed to be okay."
According to the spokesperson of Heathrow Airport, he said "technical issue" was the issue identified and has been fixed.
