Shocking dashcam footage captured the excruciating moment a pedestrian was hit by a car and catapulted into the air.
The man suddenly comes into the camera's view as he is seen running across a busy road.
But before drivers have the chance to react one smacks right into him - sending him hurtling into the air.
He spins around as he flies metres in front of the car- landing awkwardly on the ground.
He then quickly sits up but appears to stay there for a moment looking a little dazed.
But then miraculously he jumps to his feet and runs to the pavement - this time carefully checking for vehicles before crossing.
It is unclear where exactly in the US the accident took place.
According to people that commented on the clip he leaves his hat and phone on the floor as he walks away in a daze.
One man appears to go to his aid holding out his hand - but the lucky sprinter just walks past, holding onto his jogging bottoms as he goes.
The driver of the vehicle also goes to get out to help, but they get back in their car when the man goes out of shot.
