iPhone 7 temporary Image
Apple fans could be in for a big surprise at the unveiling of the next iPhone, according to some leaked photos reporting to show off the device.Photos posted on French website nowhereelse appear to confirm one of the most prevalent rumors about the new device - that Apple will be doing away with the headphone port on its device.
The photo claims to show an aluminium iPhone 7 frame with a pair of speakers instead of the headphone port.
If the rumour is true, it's thought Apple will allow its users to plugin their accessories via the Lightning socker or via a wireless Bluetooth connection.
The Image appears to show no headphone jack on the iPhone 7
One reason Apple was thought to be ditching the port was to make the next iPhone thinner, although this image doesn't appear to show a slimmed down device.
There's no way to prove the image is real, but with numerous rumours suggesting the headphone port is gone for good, there's a chance this isn't a photoshopped fake.
There are already plenty of other iPhone rumours flying around the web, including suggestions that the device will arrive in a new dark blue colour scheme and the antenna lines, that run across the back of the phone, could be moved to the top and bottom of the device.
Other supposed leaks have suggested that Apple will finally get rid of the 16GB iPhone and replace it with a base 32GB option.
And iPhone fans with plenty of cash in their pockets may be able to treat themselves to an iPhone 7 with a whopping 256GB memory.
We're also expecting better battery life, improved camera and sharper screen to be included.
The US tech giant has a history of showing off their latest flagship phone in September and 2016 is unlikely to be any different.
