But the PowerEgg is set to welcome the next phase of consumer-friendly fliers with its transportable style.
Looking like something out of a science fiction film, the large egg-shaped contraption has secret flight mechanisms which can lift it soaring over scenery with a few clicks.
The PowerEgg is the company's first major robot lunched into the consumer market since establishment into robotics and big data in six years
It's been touted for release in the autumn and is aimed at those who want to carry it around on the move.
