Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri
A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja over the case of the former governor has detained him till 1st of July 2016.
He is being accused of mismanagement of public fund, fraud and money laundering, the governor has been slammed with five count charges and of which he pleaded not guilty to all the charges and that led to Justice Ahmed Mohammed to order him be detained.
Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and his cohurt, Mayin Constructions and property Limited second defendant were arraigned before Justice Ahmed Mohammed.
However the heard the former governors bail application and delayed it till Friday the 1st July 2016 to deliver its judgement.
Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri was fortunate to be sworn in as acting Governor of Adamawa State in 2014 when then governor 'Governor Murtala Nyako' was impeached with his deputy resigning.
