It was something the RnB star wasn't expecting as he was shocked but it was he commanded the fan to do on stage in the video.

R Kelly looked shocked when an overexcited fan got a bit too up close and person as they GROPED him during a steamy live show.

The moment

The Ignition singer was performing in Detroit when he started serenading the female admirer, handing her a towel as she started to wipe down his face and chest - and then moving even lower.

The lady couldn't stop smiling during the shocking moment, and didn't need asking twice when R Kelly started gyrating, before shouting along with the song: "Now grab it!"

However, he seemed taken aback with the fan obliged, grabbing his manhood as he leaped back in surprise.

"What the f**k," he mouthed to the crowd, quickly bursting out laughing at the unexpected incident.

"That's how they do it in the D," he shouted to the audience in Detriot. "I like that s**t!"

The singer was playing at the Fox Theatre as he continues with his 12 Nights of Christmas tour.

Although R Kelly is yet to publicly acknowledge the incident, he took to Twitter to thank his fans for their support.

"Detroit... thank you," he tweeted. "Y'all showed up & showed out! Thanks for riding wit' ya boy! (sic)"
