It will be recall, that over the past few weeks, there have been chaos in South Korea over the involvement of President Park Geun-hye's corruption scandal, that led to the country of calling for the president to resign.

It has finally happened after a parliament of 234 votes, only 56 voted in favour of Ms Park, which means 178 voted against her, that led to her impeachment.
Ms Park Geun-hye belongs to Saenuri Party, and there is every possibility, ruling party members voted in favout of the impeached president.
Prime Minister Hwang Kyo-ahn, is current interim president pending when the parliament decides.

After the result of the parliament's votes, Ms Park apologized to the nation, saying she has caused the nation's unrest and has "created this national chaos with my carelessness".
One Choi Soon-sil, who happens to be Ms Park's confidante was said to had used the president's connections to gain influence, which led to financial benefits, but she has since denied every charges.
Currently she is in custody, facing charges of coercion and abuse of power.
