Following the current economic woes EU is facing, there have been a lot of backlash hitting the bloc but now in an effort to ease the crises and render Putin somewhat powerless, Brussels have granted about 50 million Georgians and Ukrainians visa-free to EU countries.

The European Parliament and the European Council gave the thumbs up late last night to grant visa-free travel to the two countries on the edge of the bloc, ending an internal EU dispute.

Some EU leaders had felt Brussels was reneging on pledges to ex-Soviet states it has promised to help as they try to move out from Moscow's shadow.

And European Council President Donald Tusk yesterday warned the 'European Union' was risking its credibility by failing to reward Georgia and Ukraine for painful reforms.

Donald Tusk tweeted to confirm the deal.
Almost there. Visa suspension mechanism dispute over. Now the final stretch towards visa free travel for Ukraine and Georgia.
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko hailed the move as "encouraging news from Brussels".

For the deal to pull through, Kosovo is also considering of joining Georgia and Ukraine to become EU member country if she meets up with the requirements demanded by Brussels.

Reacting to the deal, President Tusk said Ukraine and Georgia can now have visa-free travel.

"Almost there. Visa suspension mechanism dispute over.

"Now the final stretch towards visa free travel for Ukraine and Georgia", Tusk added

Kosovo is also former Soviet-Union and has since been on their own.

Some experts are saying for this deal to pull through, it might hurt Turkey because there have been a long term negotiations for Turkey to join the EU but Turkey have not met the requirements demanded of her by EU.

And recently the EU promised to give four billion pounds to Turkey to enable it handle migrants fleeing from Syria that has border with Erdogan's country that is 99% Muslims but is like the EU has not fulfill its promise and Turkey is threatening to open its border to ship 3,000 migrants everyday if the money is refused to be paid.
