    US drone attack in Afghanistan has killed an al-Qaeda leader

    US drone strike has killed an al-Qaeda leader in Afghanistan sometime last month and it have been confirmed by Pentagon as well.

    Pentagon said Farouq al-Qatani, the group leader in the area was killed two weeks ago and is a precision strike, added Pentagon.

    The al-Qaeda leader was a Saudi Arabian and according to reports, he has been placed on the list of one of the most wanted terrorists by the US in February.

    US believe he was part of the plotters of the America attacks and as well as his involvement in Europe attacks.

    Abdul Ghani Mosamem, a spokesman of Afghan government reported that 15 insurgents were killed in the operation on October 23rd, 2016 in the province of Kunar, Afghanistan, amongst whom were two Arabs and some Pakistani Taliban fighters.
