Unbelievable as investigation have revealed twenty Islamist jihadis serving under German army while sixty are on surveillance, reports says the reason the jihadis joined the country's army is to be professionals on how to use various weapons in order to be specialists in future terrorist attacks on the country.

The terrorists are believed to have joined Germany’s military so they could receive rigorous training in how to use deadly weapons with the intention of carrying out future terror attacks.

Germany’s Military Counterintelligence Service (MAD), which identified the Islamist infiltrators, according to newspaper Die Welt, said the sneaky soldiers could use advanced weapons and tactical training to target innocent members of the public in Germany or other Western countries.

Army recruitment offices across the country have reported an increase in people wanting to join the Bundeswehr, the German military, for just a few months with a specific interest in intensive weapons and equipment training, MAD said.

Hans-Peter Bartels, a Social Democratic Party (SPD) MP responsible for oversight of the army, said earlier this year: “While Islamism isn’t the main problem of the Bundeswehr… it represents a real danger that we have to take seriously.”

During Germany’s army boot camp training, known as Grundausbildung, recruits are taught shooting and marksmanship skills, map reading and topography, woodland and urban warfare skills and advanced first aid.

Germany has one of Europe’s most capable armed forces but it does not currently conduct comprehensive background checks on applicants.

At the moment, only service members that have already enlisted, including soldiers, officers, and non-commissioned officers, are vetted.

New recruits simply need to present their police records and formally agree to comply with the German constitution to enlist.

This will change in January when a new screening process will lead to in-depth background checks being carried out on all applicants.

The draft law for the new process reportedly says: “Currently, there are indications that Islamist circles are trying to insert the so-called short-time servicemen into the armed forces so that they can receive such training.”

The move show evidence of the German government trying to reduce what they call green-on-blue attacks, otherwise known as insider attacks.

    More details to come.
