After the US presidential election held on November 8, 2016, was declared in the favour of the Republican candidate, Donald Trump, some political activist have advised Democrat candidate, Mrs Hillary Clinton to contest the results of some states, that the results of those states may have been hacked or manipulated in favour of the Republican.

Election lawyers in the US demand Hillary Clinton to seek a recount of the results of Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Michigan including computer scientists who believe there might be fowl play in the results of the November 8, 2016 US presidential election that saw Donald Trump declared winner.

Attorney for voting right John Bonifaz and University of Michigan Center director for Computer Security and Society J. Alex Halderman called Clinton’s campaign chairman John Podesta and campaign general counsel Marc Elias to talk about their findings.

Clinton received seven per cent fewer votes in counties in Wisconsin which used electronic-voting machines as opposed to optical scanners or paper ballots, according to the groups findings.
The former Secretary of State could have lost as many as 30,000 votes in the state if the pattern is to believed.

In 2012 the Democrat won both Wisconsin and Pennsylvania states while Michigan has not yet been called for a candidate, according to New York Magazine, if Hillary Clinton want to file for a recount of those three mentioned states, Friday is due for Wisconsin, Monday for Pennsylvania while Wednesday is for Michigan, up till now no respond from the Democrat candidate of whether she will order for a recount or not. 

The Republican candidate had earlier during the campaign, that the election was already rigged in favour of the Democrat candidate and that he may not accept the out come of the result if he loses, now is like the other round as activists are urging Hillary Clinton to contest results of three states in the US.

 

It will be recalled that during the election campaign, Mrs Hillary Clinton's campaign manager's account and it's computer network was hacked by Russian government.

DNC chairman Debbie Wasserman Schultz said: "When we discovered the intrusion, we treated this like the serious incident it is.

"Our team moved as quickly as possible to kick out the intruders and secure our network", Wasserman Schultz, the DNC chairman said in a statement.
