Angela Merkel
After so many speculations on whether Angela Merkel, the German Chancellor will run for a fourth term, Merkel has finally opened up about her ambition to run despite recent fall in popularity over immigration law that saw millions of migrants enter Germany from middle Eastern region and Africa. I have decided to run for the office of Chancellor in 2017 general election, Mrs Angela Merkel said, even when there have been a lot of protest against her migration policies by Germans.
Angela Merkel, the German Chancellor is the most powerful woman in the world and belongs to Christian Democratic Union (CDU), the ruling party in Germany.
The 62-year-old Merkel will have it tough with the opposition party Alternative for Germany (AfD) who have recently gain German supporters because of its anti-migrant policy Merkel implemented and the open borders of Germany that has led millions of migrants flood the country.
Since 2005 Merkel have controlled the Europe's strongest economy and other various departments.
Despite Angela Merkel's 45% political decrease, she has still decided to run for a fourth term but some politicians still believe she is the right choice to fix things of the shaking European economy while some feels it will be difficult to defeat her.
The opposition party, Alternative for Germany (AfD) is campaigning and against the open borders of Germany and promised a speeding deportation of migrants
Julia Kloechkner, deputy leader of CDU party in a statement said: "She stands for moderation and centrism instead of cheap headlines."
Although Merkel has not be feeling too good about the policy of the immigration law after she said "If only she can turn the clock back on the migrant crisis.
Angela Merkel became a full time politician in 1989 immediately after the fall of the great Berlin Wall and many believe Merkel is a great negotiator, who can make things better in the future.
