    The Red Devils slumped to a 1-0 defeat in Rotterdam as Tonny Vilhena secured the only goal of the game

    Manchester United's Europa League campaign got off to a nightmare start in Rotterdam.

    Jose Mourinho rang the changes for the clash with Feyenoord with only David De Gea, Chris Smalling and Paul Pogba keeping their places.

    But those coming in failed to impress as United slumped to a 1-0 defeat.

    It brought back memories of last season's disappointing Europa League campaign and life under Louis van Gaal.

    Some fans though reckoned it was all part of Jose Mourinho's latest masterplan.
