Cristiano Ronaldo will be playing his first game since injuring his knee in the Euro 2016 final when Real Madrid entertain Osasuna in La Liga on Saturday.

Forward Ronaldo, 31, has missed Real's first three competitive games of the season with a damaged knee.

"We are happy to have him back," Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane explained.

"This is his first match of the season, 60 days since his last one."

Ronaldo scored 35 goals in 36 La Liga games as Real finished runners-up to Barcelona last season.

He also missed Portugal's 5-0 friendly win over Gibraltar on 1 September and his country's 2-0 defeat by Switzerland in their opening World Cup qualifier on 6 September.

So far in the new season, Real Madrid, has won their opening two La Liga games.
