    Former prime minister and president of Israel is being buried as world leaders gather in Jerusalem

    Israel is hosting Leaders from around the world due to the funeral of former Israeli prime minister and president Shimon Peres in Jerusalem.

    Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is delivering his eulogy for Mr Peres, who he has described as "a man of vision" and a "great man of the world".

    PM Netanyahu: Shimon always believed in progress, in its power to create an infrastructure for peace.

    US Secretary of State John Kerry, who is attending the funeral, tweeted this undated photograp of him with Peres, who he referred to as "a warrior for peace" and "a dear friend".

    President Reuven Rivlin, who laid a wreath in memory of Peres, pays tribute in this picture tweeted by Israel's Foreign Ministry. "Our nation was blessed with having you as its President," he added.

    President Rivlin eulogizes Shimon Peres: "Your dreams will not be gone, your faith will not be buried."

    US Barack Obama heading out of his presidential black Jeep as heads to the funeral rite of former president Shimon Peres with list of international dignitaries attending also. 

    Amongst the leaders that are attending are; French President Francois Hollande, German President Joachim Gauck and scores of other world leaders are attending the funeral.

    No free movement as Jerusalem is under lock down due to Shimon Peres funeral.
