Date of world title rematch fight between Tyson Fury and Wladimir Klitschko in Manchester Arena has finally be announced

Tyson Fury will defend his undisputed world heavyweight titles against Wladimir Klitschko on October 29 at the Manchester Arena.

The rematch has long been touted since Fury shocked the boxing world in Dusseldorf last November.

Klitschko took up his mandatory option to try and regain the titles but the rematch has been put back on multiple occasions.

They were due to face off in July before the bout was postponed due to Fury spraining his ankle.

Earlier this summer, Fury was charged by UK Anti-Doping on June 24 "with presence of a prohibited substance," though he denied the allegation.

Klitschko also took to Twitter to reveal he was preparing to go to court with the Fury Camp amid reports they were attempting to move the goalposts.

    After Tyson was declared winner
The rematch will be shown on Box Nation.

"Everyone involved has worked tirelessly to get the world heavyweight title rematch between Tyson and Wladimir back-on and I’m thrilled that it’s now officially confirmed, said Tyson's promoter, Mick Hennessy.

"This is the rematch that the boxing world has been waiting to see and the anticipation is now at boiling point so expect a highly charged and explosive fight when the best two heavyweights in the world collide.

"As Tyson’s promoter I have 100 percent confidence that he will retain his titles in front of his fans and make it another memorable night for British boxing to remember.”
