Breaking News: Thousands flee as wildfire erupt in the seaside of Javea in Valencia

The huge blaze broke out in Javea, south of Valencia, which is on the outskirts of the British tourist hotspot Benidorm

More than 2,000 people have been forced to flee their homes as three massive fires erupted on the outskirts of Benidorm.

Police officers at the resort in Javea, south of Valencia, are investigating claims the blazes were started by arsonists.

Half of the 30,000 who live in the area are not Spanish and many Brits are thought to be among the victims.

Javea is 25 miles from Benidrom, with buildings in Tossalet, Benitatxell and Cansalade also evacuated.
