    Good News for Liverpool FC As Mamadou Sakho is Cleared of Doping by UEFA After Testing Positive

    After France defender, Mamadou Sakho was tested positive over he was handed 30 days suspension not to participate in any football activities by UEFA in March although Uefa didn't even know whether it was actually prohibited.

    The ban saw him missed Liverpool's Europa League final defeat to Sevilla.

    However, the case has now been closed after a hearing and Sakho is free to resume his playing career for club and country.

    During the time of the investigation, Euro 2016 competition was on the verge of starting and that made Mamadou Sakho to missed out of selection.

    Sakho was eligible for France's Euro 2016 squad but Didier Deschamps left him out.

    Before his suspension, when fully fit, Sakho had been in France's squad for 23 of their previous 25 matches.

    "I am happy that this is finally over," Sakho said after being cleared. "It's been a difficult time for me but I knew I had done nothing wrong.

    "I am looking forward to getting back in the (Liverpool) team and playing again."

    Liverpool in a statement said: "We are pleased for Mamadou that he can now resume his playing career."
