Spain celebrating their goal against Czech Republic
Spain began their European cup defend on a positive start after edging out Czech Republic with a goal coming from Gerald Pigue's header in the 87th minute of regulation time and it was assisted with Andres Iniesta's cross.
Alvaro Morata, Jordi Alba and David Silva had their effort saved by Petr Cech earlier in the game. Czech Theodor Gebre Selassie header was saved by chelsea's Cesc Fabregas on the goalline.
Vladimir Darida of Czech Republic would had canceled Pique's goal when he volley a shot from 10 yards, Spain's keeper was fortunate to be on the right spot to punch the direct ball away.
Spain, and Croatia top Group D. with 3 points and same goal margin, while Czech Republic and Turkey both have 0 point.
As always Spain got a distance possession of 72% while Czech Republic managed to secure 28%
