    Shocking As Armed Man is Shot Dead in Cinema in An Attempt to Take Someone Hostage

     
    A man was this afternoon  shot dead by a police officer, the man was said to have a rifle and walked into a cinema took some people hostage and fired a gun shot in southwest Germany.

    Fifty people were initially reported injured but police refuted that no one was hurt.

    Kinopolis cinema complex in Viernheim was the location the incident took place at around 3pm.

    According to a police spokeswoman at the scene, Christiane Kompus, said he took several hostages, but not sure of the numbers.
    Officers "successively entered the cinema and were able to locate the man and the people he was holding," she said.

    "There was a threat situation and the man was then shot dead by a colleague."Ms Kompus said police were all present in the scene for up to three hours and no-one else was hurt.

    There is no proper identity of the Armed man as the report said the police spokeswoman.
    Peter Beuth  The Hesse states's interior minister, said it was not clear if his weapon was real.

    The man was masked, He told the regional legislature in Wiesbaden and looked "disturbed".

    Police are saying they don"t believe the man was a terrorist.
