    Current Commonwealth 100m Champion Kemar Bailey-Cole Claims he has Zika Virus

    Jamaica Kemar-Cole is the current commonwealth 100m Champion, he claimed he has been diagnosed of the dreaded Zika virus.

    The 24 year old sprinter said his girlfriend saw a bump on his neck, that he only knew at that time.

    "I didn't know I had the virus and I have been training with it for three days now," he told the Jamaica Gleaner.

    The virus has made some golfers withdrew from Rio de Jeneirio 2016 including the Mcllroy and now Kemar Bailey-Cole is about to withdraw.

    The Zika was first noticed in Brazil but now more than 60 countries and their various territories have been equally affected by the virus.

    The said,"I was experiencing back pains and muscle soreness, but I thought it was just soreness from the exercises I was doing".

    "Recovering is not easy. The rashes are still on my body, my eyes hurt, but the best thing is that I am not feeling any muscle pain at the moment."

    Next week was suppose to be the week he was to meet with the likes of Usain Bolt, Asafa Powell and Yohan Blake for Jamaica Olympic trial to secure a place in the tournament with Jamaica.

    Kemar Bailey-Cole added "I am going to trials with the mindset that I am healthy and ready".
