Jaguar was Shot Dead During Olympic Torch invent in Brazil

A jaguar that was suppose to have be a part of Rio Olympic torch invent has been shot dead

The Olympic game that is starting very soon in Brazil, Rio del Jeneirio to be precise experienced a tragedy when a jaguar was shot dead by the Brazilian army when the torch light invent was going on said in a statement.

 

 When the News broke out, that Juma has escaped from her confinement, both the military and veterinarians teamed up to recapture the Jaguar through shooting her with a tranquilizer dart.

 

The killing of the Jaguar occurred when the tranquilizer could not affect the animal rather the animal lunged on a soldier and in an attempt to protect the group of the veterinarians the animal was shot dead.

 

The event has to stop at the Jungle Warfare Instruction Center Zoo in Manaus on Monday morning.

 

According to the organizing committee of Rio 2016, they expressed their regret on what has happened.

"We made a mistake when we allowed the Olympic torch, a symbol of peace and union of different people, to be exhibited next to a chained wild animal," the committee said in a statement.
 

"This scene contradicts our beliefs and values. We are very saddened by what happened after the torch relay and guarantee we will not witness any other situation like this one during the Rio 2016 Games."
