Five Star Party Candidate, Virginia Raggi
The anti-establishment Five Star Movement has won key mayoral roles in Italy's capital Rome and Turin, establishing its role in the political terrain in Italy.
The Five Star Party candidate, Virginia Raggi scored 67% votes of Rome election, which made her the first female Mayor.
Virginia's victory is a big blow to Prime Minister Matteo Renzi'si left Democratic Party (PD), but the Party was able to win in Milan and Bologna.
There are rumour going round about Five Star Party that the victory could give anti-globalization platform for parliamentary elections set to hold in 2018.
The newly opposition party won 19 out of 20 towns and cities in which it candidates also recorded victories as Mayors respectively and they are striving to becoming main opposition party ahead of vote, with the success recorded on Sunday extended beyond Rome.
The opposition party's female candidate, Chiara Appendino recorded victory in Turin defeating the Democratic Party that was at first leading in the first election two weeks ago.
Chiara Appendino in her words said, "It was not a vote of protest, but of pride and change, she told supporters of her party and also stating to rebuild trust among the Turin residents and the elected representatives.

The Five Star Party candidate won in Turin with a narrow margin and Piero Fassino of Democratic Party unlike the victory that was recorded in Rome by her colleague. Turin is a populate city for the Democratic Party and also is a city where Fiat, makers of Fiat vehicle's headquarter is located.
