"Egyptian Ex-president Mohamed Morsi handed the life sentence after an Egyptian court made the pronouncement on Saturday and his co-defendants were handed death sentence.
"The sentenced was handed to Morsi as a result of finding him guilty of leaking vital documents and supplying Qatar the same documents and also charged for leading an unlawful organization.
"ABC.net had Morsi's report of leading Muslim brotherhood movement when he (Morsi) was the president between 2012 and July 2013 and Qatar was strong supporter of Morsi, it was the period military overthrew him and detained him as well.
"It will be recalled, the former president in several trials was sentenced to death due to his involvement on prison and attacks on police stations during 2011 and that led to the overthrowing of Hosni Mubarak. Morsi also was sentenced to 20 years imprison in separate trials.
