Both leaders of North and South Cyprus
Following the peace process of the decided Island, both leaders have decided that the reunification talks be closed before it can move to the next stage, Greek Cypriot government spokesman Victoras Papadopoulos said on Thursday.
The two leaders are expected to meet in Switzerland to discuss how the next stage of the peace process will continue.
Papadopoulos added: Before the three guarantors meets in a multilateral conference, the territory chapter must be completed.
Victoras Papadopoulos was referring to Northern Cyprus President Mustafa Akinci who said after Switzerland talk there will be multilateral conference talks but is not a forgone conclusion.

The Switzerland negotiation will be held from 7-11 November 2016 in Mont Pelerin.
Papadopoulos again ruled out the Greek Cypriot side agreeing to any foreign guarantees or troops remaining on the island as part of a settlement.
He said ‘feverish preparations’ were ongoing ahead of the Switzerland talks.
The National Council’s sub-committee on territory was convening late on Thursday evening, chaired by the president’s chief negotiator Andreas Mavroyiannis.
Papadopoulos said it has been agreed that in Switzerland two rounds of talks would be held every day. Some of the talks would focus on discussion open issues from previous chapters, and the rest on discussing property.
On Friday, president Nicos Anastasiades will hold a televised news conference to brief the public on where the Cyprus talks stand just prior to his departure for Switzerland.
The news conference is scheduled to begin at 6.30pm and end by 8pm.
Also on Friday evening Akinci will be grilled by reporters in the north during a live television show.
