    Hurricane Mathew has claimed first life in US as 100mph winds batter Florida

    The United States is currently experiencing a magnitude of a hurricane Mathew as it sweeps accross Florida, Georgia, North and South Carolina.

    More than three million people have been evacuated from Florida, Georgia, North and South Carolina as Hurricane Matthew hits.

    It is said to be the biggest storm in a century already wreaking havoc in Florida, Georgia, North and South Carolina States with 100mph winds recorded in Cape Canaveral at 10.30am BST.

    572 death has been recorded after Hurricane Matthew swept through Haiti, Jamaica, the Dominican Republic and the Bahamas before visiting the United State.

    A 58-year-old woman has become the first US victim of Hurricane Matthew as she suffered cardiac arrest overnight in St Lucis.

    An emergency call came in at 1:20 am EDT - but emergency services could not reach her due to the dangerous conditions, reports WPTV.

    Due to the 100mph winds that hit part of US killing at least one so far President Barack Obama has signed a state of emergency for Georgia, Florida and South Carolina mobilizing thousands of National Guard troops.
