Gomez with German's Medical Staffs
During the quarter finals of the Euro 2016 game against Italy, Mario Gomez picked up and injury few minutes to the end of the game.
Scans carried out on the 30 year old striker immediately after the game, shows that the striker who just have two goals to his credit on the ongoing Euro 2016 will miss the rest the games.
According to German Football Association (DFB) states: "Another appearance for the striker is not an option".
With Gomez injury, it is now confirmed that three of German players are on the injury list, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Sami Khedira are both doubtful for Thursday's game in Marseille.
Coach Joachim Low, said "It is very bitter to lose important players, especially at this crucial stage."
"I am especially sorry for Mario. He has produced strong performances in the Euros and helped the team a lot, not only with his goals," added Low.
"For us it means that we have to accept a new situation and find solutions. And we will do so."
